Tuesday, May 9, 2023 "Symphony for a Broken Orchestra" Book and Music Event
NO CRESCENDO CLASS for May 9th!
Who is Participating: All Crescendo kids are expected to participate. Please talk to Ms. Liz if your child has a scheduling conflict
Location: Ann's Heart Cafeteria, 35 Hall Street
Time: Kids should arrive at 5:30 - wear your Crescendo shirt
The program starts at 6:00 pm
About the Event: We are bringing in a special guest - author Amy Ignatow to read her book, "Symphony for a Broken Orchestra" about how music students in Philadelphia found ways to make music even when their instruments were broken.
The Crescendo kids will perform and invite the audience to participate in making music together.
A generous donor has paid for each Crescendo kid to receive this book for free! (they're $25 each at the bookstore)
Ann's Heart is providing light refreshments.
This program is open to the public and especially for kids - bring your friends!

Thursday, June 1, 2023 - Viva la Vida Spring Concert and 5th Grade Graduation
Who Is Participating: All Crescendo kids are expected to participate in this concert.
Location: Phoenixville Rec Center, 501 Franklin Ave.
Time: Kids should arrive at 6:30
We perform at 7:00
About the Event: This is our biggest concert of the year where we get to show off what we've learned and recognize our graduating 5th graders! This performance is free and open to the public. Bring your friends and family to help us celebrate the Crescendo kids' accomplishments this year!
Friday, June 2, 2023 - Last Day of Crescendo & Pizza Party
June 20 - 30, 2023 - Crescendo Summer Camp - Music of the Americas: a tour from French-Canadian fiddle music to Argentinian Tango Music!
Location: Ann's Heart
Morning Session: 9:00 am - Noon every day - Room for 12 kids
Afternoon Session: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm every day - Room for 12 kids
Registration Fee: We are hiring some guest teaching artists to work with the kids.
For Crescendo kids: the registration fee is $25/student or $40/for siblings.
For non-Crescendo kids: regular summer camp rate is $300.
Crescendo kids will have the first opportunity to sign up. No one will be turned away for inability to pay.
Please talk to me if your child would like to participate but is also doing summer school.
